At Alpha Tutoring, we are committed to providing a professional, reliable, and supportive learning experience for every student. The following policies help ensure clear communication, consistent scheduling, and a positive experience for students, parents, and tutors.
Students are expected to attend their scheduled online tutoring sessions on time and be prepared with any necessary learning materials. If a student is late, their tutor will wait up to 10 minutes and make reasonable efforts to contact the student or parent. After 10 minutes without communication, the session may be considered a missed appointment. Late arrivals do not automatically extend the scheduled session, as tutors may have other appointments.
We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. Parents and students are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice when requesting to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without prior communication, may be counted as completed sessions within the student's monthly package.
Alpha Tutoring offers three monthly tutoring packages: Basic, Premium, and Pro, with 4, 8, and 12 one-hour sessions per month, respectively. All tutoring sessions are conducted online through personalized, one-on-one instruction. Parents will receive payment details and invoices directly from Alpha Tutoring. Alpha Tutoring offers a complimentary introductory tutoring session to new students. During this session, the tutor will assess the student's current academic understanding, identify strengths and areas requiring improvement, and discuss learning goals. The free trial also provides an opportunity for students to become familiar with their tutor and experience our personalized teaching approach. There is no obligation to purchase a tutoring package following the trial session.
Alpha Tutoring carefully matches students with tutors based on their grade level, academic needs, subject requirements, and availability. Our goal is to maintain a consistent tutor-student relationship throughout the learning experience. Tutoring schedules are coordinated directly with parents and tutors. While we aim to maintain consistent weekly sessions, adjustments may occasionally be necessary. If a tutor becomes unavailable, Alpha Tutoring will work with the client to arrange a suitable alternative.
We believe consistent communication is essential to academic improvement. Parents will receive a monthly progress report outlining their child's academic development, strengths, areas requiring improvement, and recommended next steps. Tutors may also provide feedback and recommendations throughout the month to support continued learning. Parents are encouraged to communicate any academic concerns or changes in their child's learning needs.
All Alpha Tutoring sessions take place online. Students are responsible for having a reliable internet connection, a suitable device, and access to any necessary schoolwork or learning materials. We recommend attending sessions in a quiet, distraction-free environment to support concentration and participation. If technical difficulties occur, the tutor and client should communicate promptly to determine an appropriate solution.
Alpha Tutoring is committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment. Students, parents, and tutors are expected to communicate respectfully and behave appropriately during all tutoring sessions. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, or repeated inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated. Alpha Tutoring reserves the right to review or discontinue tutoring arrangements when necessary to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Alpha Tutoring respects the privacy of students and families. Personal information, academic records, and student progress reports are used only for legitimate tutoring, administrative, and communication purposes. Student information will not be shared with unauthorized individuals. Information may be shared with assigned tutors where necessary to provide tutoring services. Tutors working with Alpha Tutoring are subject to the non-solicitation obligations outlined in their tutoring agreements. Parents and students are asked to coordinate tutoring arrangements, scheduling, and payments directly through Alpha Tutoring rather than making separate private arrangements with assigned tutors. This helps maintain accurate session records, consistent communication, and accountability for the tutoring services provided.
